The fair values of corporate bonds and the Company’s bonds payable are determined by quoted market prices provided by third party pricing services.
The fair value of commercial paper is determined by the present value of future cash flows based on the discounted curves that are derived from the quoted market prices.
34. RELATED PARTY TRANSACTIONS
Intercompany balances and transactions between TSMC and its subsidiaries, which are related parties of TSMC, have been eliminated upon consolidation; therefore, those items are not disclosed in this note.
