Integrated income tax information |
The estimated and actual creditable ratio for distribution of the Company’s earnings of 2013 and 2012 were 9.80% and 7.75%, respectively. Under the Rule No.10204562810 issued by the Ministry of Finance, when calculating the creditable ratio in the year of first-time adoption of Accounting Standards Used in Preparation of Parent Company Only Financial Statements, the Company has included the adjustments to retained earnings from the effect of transition to Parent Company Only Financial Statements Accounting Standards in the accumulated unappropriated earnings. The imputation credit allocated to shareholders is based on its balance as of the date of the dividend distribution. The estimated creditable ratio may change when the actual distribution of the imputation credit is made. All earnings generated prior to December 31, 1997 have been appropriated. |

Income tax examination |
The tax authorities have examined income tax returns of the Company through 2010. All investment tax credit adjustments assessed by the tax authorities have been recognized accordingly. |
